when I try to build on a vista machine I get the following error. Any ideas?
Error 7 Unable to resolve type 'Infralution.Controls.UniversalEditBox, Infralution.Controls, Version=3.2.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=3e7e8e3744a5c13f' C:\DIR\licenses.licx 1 |

You are getting this error from within Visual Studio when you try to build - is that right? I assume you must be using VS2005 - since you are on Vista - is that correct?
It looks like your project includes a licx file (C:\DIR\licenses.licx) that has an invalid reference. This can happen if the referenced control is not properly installed or if the installed control is a different version.
What version of Virtual Tree are you using - is it fully installed OK (check the Add/Remove Programs from control panel)?
You can try modifying the licx file to remove the version information. The licx entry would then just be (for instance)
Infralution.Controls.UniversalEditBox, Infralution.Controls
This will mean the license compiler will use whatever version is installed.
If you are still having problems maybe you could post the full contents of the licx file. _________________ Infralution Support |

I am getting the error when I try to build, and I'm using VS2005. I'm using the latest version of Virtual Tree. It is not installed because the install process fails. Have you tested your install package on Vista yet? |

I solved the problem. I had to disable User access control, install the Virtual Tree Msi, delete all the infrulation dll references, add references again, insert license key. Thanks for the quick reply. |

The permission issues when installing under Vista have now been resolved in the latest release 3-5-0. Setup is now a self-extracting zip archive that includes the bootstrapper program. _________________ Infralution Support |
