Is there a way to have a KeyStrength of less than 7 in version 3? It still seems to long to enter on a PDA with no keyboard attached to it. I have to go back and forth switching from numbers to letters. We have version 2.2 of this product, and would probably upgrade if we could make the keys smaller. We are going to be using this product for licensing a PDA application... |

Because of the way the encryption algorithms chunk data a key strength of less than 7 wouldn't actually reduce the key size. The minimum key size using hex encoding is 32 character (8 blocks of 4). We could possibly look at supporting different encodings to allow use of more letters etc and so reduce the key size slightly that way. _________________ Infralution Support |
