My current web-host is shutting down their Windows based hosting, so I need to migrate my Infralution Authentication Server to a new host. Are their any instructions on how to do this or common gotchas I should look out for?
I'm also curious whether anyone can recommend a good host. |

The first step is to make sure you have imported Authentication Data from the server into the License Tracker database (using you are using a separate remote Authentication database).
If you are using the Access backend then you can simply copy the whole website from your old site to your new site. Then ensure that you set the directory permissions on the App_Data and Logs directories as described in the Help.
If you are using SQL Server then you will need to upload and run the Install.aspx to configure the database connection and then use the "Upload Authentication Data" option when Configuring the Authentication Server from License Tracker to upload the authentication data into the new database (assuming you have a new database). _________________ Infralution Support |
