I have developed an application which uses ILS and which will shortly be distributed to the general public.
Would there be any problem in saving the licence key information to a discreet location in the registry instead of saving it to a .lic file in the same directory as the licensed application? This would add extra security because users would not easily be able to copy the licence key from one computer to another. |

Sure you can do this yourself. Your program saves and reads the key in the registry and then uses the EncryptedLicenseProvider.ValidateLicenseKey method to check the key. Since the user must have the key in the first place to install it this does not provide a lot of extra security. _________________ Infralution Support |
