Hello,

I have one question, and i hope that is possible to do.
I want to find one way to know the customer name from the .lic file saved after the license is installed.

Is that possible??

I think that decrypt the Encrypted key and compare is not possible, because it's not stored anywhere.
It's possible to encrypt again the original Key, and get always the same encrypted key, stored on .lic file??

Thank you

Are you using Authenticated licensing?

Are you wanting to obtain the customer name from your application code or are you trying to locate the customer for a given license in your license tracker database.

For Authenticated licensing you cannot directly obtain the original activation key from the ".lic" file. This is to prevent the possibility of 3rd parties (eg employees) with access to the machine obtaining the activation key. If you read the license (using the API) then the AuthenticatedLicense.SerialNo property returns the unique serial number for the installed license and can be used to locate the license (and hence customer) within License Tracker.
