My client is just learning to use license tracker. They have made a mistake and given out a few keys that were never linked to a sale or customer. I showed them how to fix this by generating sales and loading in the existing key. But they have made a mistake here too, and have associated a key with the wrong customer/sale. Is there a way to move the key to a different sale? There only seem to be delete and deactivate options for the key, and neither one of those is a good thing to do. How to move the key? Is this possible in the UI, or can the database tables be edited directly? |

There are two possible ways to fix this:
1. Move the sale (and associated license keys) to the new customer. To do this open the Edit Sale dialog (double click on the sale) and then use the Customer drop down to select the new customer.
2. Associate the license key with a different sale. To do this open the Edit Sale dialog select the license keys in the License Keys box and then click remove. This does not delete the license keys it just disassociates them from the sale. You can then click OK, edit another sale and select the license key(s). _________________ Infralution Support |
