|
|
HI,
I am currently evaluating IPN.Server.
The IPN server itself works fine (so far only tested using the paypal sandbox) and I get after a successful payment a mail with a license key.
What I do not understand is HOW this key is generated.
What I want to achieve in the final stage, is that the key send to my customer is a valid key in an authentification db residing on the same server as the ipn.server via calling AuthenticatedLicenseProvider.AuthenticateKey(thekey);
where 'thekey' is the key that was send to the customer.
So far all tests I did with the keys I receive from the ipn.server are result in an AuthenticatedLicense object being null (i.e. the key is not a valid key)
How does ipn.server knows about my products and the parameters that should be used to generate the key ?
Any clarification in that context would be highly apprciated.
Regards

Never mind.
Found out myself how it works.
After changing the keygeneration parameters for a product in my license tracker db I forgot to update the ipn.server.
Therefore the key did not match the new validation parameters in the call to authenticatekey.
Now everything works.
Ciao
