Hi
On the license activation window the "License Key" field remains able to accept a new license key even if the status field below it shows as "License Installed".
Any reason?
If a user has two license keys and he licenses the first one, then he pastes the second one in and licenses that then the first license is effectively lost forever isn't it as the first is still activated?
Or does trying to activate the second key also (doesn't seem like it to me) deactivate the first one?
Regards

It allows the customer to enter a new license key (for instance if they have purchased an upgrade). Generally in this case you don't really care about the old key - but you are right it doesn't currently deauthenticate the existing installed license. This just means that if the customer does decide they want to reuse that license they would either have to contact you to deactivate the license - or they could reinstall the old license and then uninstall it. We will look at changing this to automatically deauthenticate the existing license when a new license is installed in a future release. _________________ Infralution Support |
