When I create a setup project in VS.NET 2003 and add the output of a project that references Infralution.Common.dll, it adds these dependencies to my setup project:
dte.olb
EnvDTE.dll
Office.dll
stdole.dll
VSlangProj.dll
vslangproj.tlb
Is there a way I can avoid adding these dependencies to my deployment project? Can I safely exclude them? |

These references are used by the DesignTimeUtilities class which provides support for locating asssemblies and types referenced at design time. If your component or application does not use this class directly (as it probably does not) then you can safely exclude the references from your project - since on your end-users PC design time support for will not be required. _________________ Infralution Support |
