It seems that I've the same problem than the previous poster (frame) but in a different context.

I have a bootstrapper as simple as possible (like the one you give in your sample). If CheckProcessIntegrity is used with a level 3 or 4, the bootstrapper crashes on Windows 8 only (works fine in 7, Vista and XP) and I can't trace the execption in the main block.

By looking in the event viewer for the Watson crash buckets (explanation here : http://stackoverflow.com/questions/4052770/deciphering-the-net-clr20r3-exception-parameters-p1-p10), I've found that the ThrowCryptogaphicException method from mscorlib (we are using .Net framework 2) is used and that the following instruction is called :
IL_0006: throw

Of course, the exception is not catched, and I do not have any stack trace.

Unfortunately, I can't give you any executable as it is quite big (lots of resources), and I'm not sure if my customer would agree.

The crash happens at two location in my application :
- When I'm creating registry keys in HKLM
- When exiting my application

If you want any other details, please let me know.

Thanks in advance.

[Edit] I'm currently using NetEncryptor 2.0.7, don't know if it's relevant. I will upgrade to 2.1.0 tomorrow and let you know

If you can replicate the problem in a small sample project that would be a big help.

I've sent you a sample project.

I've forgot to add in the mail that I'm using NetEncryptor 2.07 and the source code is based on Licensing Systems 5.5.3

Thanks for the sample project. I think I've tracked down the issue. I've emailed you a link to a new beta version of .NET Encryptor with the fix in it.

OK, I've upgraded to your beta version and tested it on Win 8 x32, and it now works like a charm ! No more crash.

Thanks
