I am considering the distribution of a variety of Excel spreadsheets from my website and was wondering how to implement copy protection using ILS.

I use ILS encrypted and authenticated technologies with my .net software and like the system, but protecting a spreadsheet is a different situation. Most of our spreadsheets use VBA macros but I would like to avoid having to distribute the .net framework just to implement copy protection on a spreadsheet.

What is the best approach for Excel copy protection using ILS? Thanks.

ILS is only designed for licensing .NET applications. It may be possible to use ILS to license Excel addins - if you can call external .NET libraries - but I don't think protecting simple spreadsheets with macros will be possible using ILS.
