|
|
Hi All,
I'm just getting to grips with Network floating licenses and can successfully install the Sample License Service on one pc here but on another, it immediately crashes on executing SampleLicenseService.exe /I with the code 'AppCrash'.
Has anyone else had this problem? Is there perhaps a security setting blocking this?
Thanks, |

What exactly do you mean by code "AppCrash"? Can you post the complete error message or perhaps a screen grab.
You need to be running as Administrator to install the service. _________________ Infralution Support |

Hi,
AppCrash is a windows event followed by the messagebox "SampleLicenseService has stopped working" with the options to close the program or check online for a solution.
Screen grabs can be found at:
http://www.plysim.com/InfralutionError.docx
This happens immediately on running the exe.

The most likely explanation for crashes like this is that you are missing a required dependency (DLL). In this case licensing service requires the Infralution.Licensing.Forms dll. If you have ILS installed on the computer then this DLL is registered in the Global Assembly Cache (GAC) by the installer. On other computers you will need to distribute this DLL and put it in the same directory as the SampleLicenseService.exe _________________ Infralution Support |
