I get the following errors when I try to build the FileBrowser sample

Quote:
C:\Program Files\Infralution\VirtualTree\Samples\VB\FileBrowser\FileBrowserForm.vb(123): The variable '_fileList' is either undeclared or was never assigned.
C:\Program Files\Infralution\VirtualTree\Samples\VB\FileBrowser\FileBrowserForm.vb(125): The variable '_folderTree' is either undeclared or was never assigned.

The FileBrowser project uses two derived controls FileList and FolderTree which are defined in the same project. These two controls are then placed on the main FileBrowserForm. Typically the problem is that you opened the FileBrowserForm in the Visual Studio designer before you had actually built the project. Unfortunately because of the way that Visual Studio works you need to compile the project first before you can open a form that contains controls defined in the same project. If you open the form before compiling the project you will get errors. If you then save the form the designer will strip out the controls that cause the errors from the form – leaving you with this type of build error from parts of the code that reference the controls.

The solution is to delete the directory containing this sample and then repair your installation. When you open the project next time build it first before opening the form.
