Hi.
I noticed today that after my latest spell checking and fixing of our invariant language that I removed some importand resources. They had no resource value however the controls throw an exception because they where missing.
Typically I mark them as locked and keep them in the globalizer file.
So I asked myself have I deleted them by hand or did Globalizer removed them.
So I just wanted to ask what happens if I create the invariant resx files and I have locked resource. Is there some case where they would get deleted by Globalizer when I build the invariant resx files? |

If you delete a translation (so it has a light blue background in the Globalizer translation window) then that translation will be removed from the resx file when you next build it. If you require an empty translation in the resx then you need to ensure you have an empty string in Globalizer (which will have a white background). You can create an empty string by clicking on the cell in the Translation Window and then return.
There was an issue which we fixed in 2.3.11 which caused empty resources to be scanned as null (deleted) rather than as empty. This meant that if you then built the resx file the affected resources would be removed from the resx file.
Rather than locking these resources you could consider Excluding them from workspace. _________________ Infralution Support |
