I have a client reporting that they haven't bothered authenticating their version of the software because the evaluation period resets if they reinstall the software.

Any ideas what might be enabling this as I didn't think this should happen.

A strange thing for a customer to admit to you Confused

Unless your installer/uninstaller code is calling the EvaluationMonitor.Reset method then I don't see anyway that this could be happening. It is probably customer confusion. It is possible of course for a customer to work around evaluation limits by making a copy of the hard disk or registry before running your software and restoring the computer to that point. For this reason we recommend that you don't rely on evaluation restrictions alone ie you should also restrict the functionality of the app in some way.
