Previously working fine, now every tine Default.aspx is accessed, it asks for the license keys. In a single browser session, the tab where the keys were entered can be refreshed indefinitely without the key entry information being displayed again. In a new tab in the same browser session, accessing the page requires the keys to be entered again. Hosting site is GoDaddy, both ILS and IPN servers have been installed for a few weeks (testing only).
We have compiled our product purchase information into IPN.dll and uploaded the new dll to the site. Would this cause an issue?
I have removed the CHECK_IPN_LICENSE conditional compilation symbol from IPN and it still asks for both license keys on access. (Yes, I restarted the web site after uploading the new dll). |

If you are entering the license key - but it isn't saving then check the permissions on the App_Data directory. You have to enable writing to this directory from the GoDaddy control panel (at least while installing the licenses).
Once you have successfully installed the license you should see two files (IPN.lic and ILS4.lic) in the App_Data directory.
If you have removed the CHECK_IPN_LICENSE compilation symbol then you definitely should not be seeing the IPN License key text box. If you check the code in the UpdateLicenseVisibility method you will see that the text box is not visible when the symbol is not defined. So you must not have updated your site with the compiled version of your changes. _________________ Infralution Support |

The .lic files are written the the App_Data folder as expected. I have tried deleting them and they are regenerated the next time the keys are entered, so that is not the issue. I'll check the dll again. Thanks. |

OK, it appears to be a problem with obfuscating the IPN.dll code. Will have to backtrack and probably limit some renaming.
Update: I was able to resolve this with some changes to the obfuscation renaming scheme. |
