What language is the Operating System you are using? If this problem is only happening for Chinese (ie not French or other western languages) then it may be that you don't have support for East Asian languages installed. You need to install this via the Regional Options languages panel from Control Panel.

Hi,

My OS is Win XP (English-US). I had installed East asian languages as well.
This translation was not possible in any of the languages selected. Sad

What do you mean by:

Do you mean that the text is not displaying in the Globalizer.NET editor, or in the preview or do you mean when you run your application?

If the problem is when you run your application then have a look at the following thread:

Maybe send a screenshot if necessary to support@infralution.com to help explain what you mean.

Not exactly.

Here are the steps i am following:

1. Created Workspace
2. Target -> Add -> Visual Solution Solution
3. Scan
4. Target -> Language (Selected Chinese Simplified)

Plese let me know the procedure i have followed is correct.
Here, here the translated chinese text is expected in the Chinese column. But the column is empty.

Globalizer.NET is a translation tool only - to help you and your translators with the translation process. It does not automatically translate the text for you (hence the chinese translation is blank - since you need to provide translations).

We will be releasing Version 2 of Globalizer.NET in the next week or two - which does include support for machine translation of text using either the Microsoft Bing or Google translation web service. While this will allow you to translate text automatically it is only something that we would recommend as a starting point for manual translation since machine translations often produce rather unexpected results. If you need to be convinced of this simply use Google to translate some text to chinese and back to English.
