Yes, License Tracker can be configured to use SQL Server as the database backend (instead of the standard Access database). In Version 4.6 and later the License Tracker Configuration Wizard is run automatically at the completion of setup. You just select the SQL Server option and provide the parameters to connect to your SQL Server and a database name. If the database does not already exist the wizard will create it for you. If you have an existing License Tracker database then you will be given the option of copying any existing data to the new database.

In versions prior to 4.6 you had to manually attach to the SQL database files using SQL Server Management Studio or the stored procedure (sp_attach_db). The LicenseTracker directory contained zipped versions of the required .mdf and .ldf SQL Server database files (in SQLDB.zip). Next you had to edit the LicenseTracker.exe.config file to provide the connection parameters The app.sqlserver.config file contained sample settings required for SQL Server (assuming you called you SQL Server database "License").
