I can't find a way to do it, is it possible to have a dropdown treeview. Like a dropdown list, but when it drops down, a treeview appears, instead of a list.

Yes it is possible - but you have to write your own custom dropdown control. The Infralution.Controls assembly includes a VirtualDropDownList control which is implemented from scratch and so would be a good starting point. You would need to purchase Virtual Tree source code to be able to modify the source code for this to use a VirtualTree instead of a List. The Infralution.Controls assembly also contains a number of auxillary classes that would help implementing a custom drop down control:

• DropDownForm - implements a the form used to display a dropdown
  
• DropDownButton - implements a XP styled drop down button
