Hi There,
Here is the scenario I am trying to get working:
1) ASP.NET Application
2) WebForm & custom ServerControl assembly is in the bin folder of the website
3) WebForm assembly references a licensed class library assembly that is installed in the GAC
When I instantiate the GAC'd class library and attempt to verify its license, it only succeeds if I have copied the .lic file INTO the GAC using the command prompt.
Is this a normal issue? I would prefer to keep the .lic file in the web bin folder.
In case this complicates matters, the website is running SharePoint.
Thanks in advance,
Brett |

You may better off taking control of the actual reading of the license key yourself and then using the EncryptedLicenseProvider.VerifyLicenseKey method to verify that it is a valid license key. This can be better approach for ASP libraries because it allows to provide a method in your library which the client application can call to provide the license key. Executable file locations under ASP can be rather problematic. _________________ Infralution Support |
