I generated a license for a custom application, using the License Tracker application--after which I decided to use a different (smaller) license. Since I wasn't going to use the previous licence, I decided (first) to deactivate it. However, during the license check process in my application--the old license was STILL considered valid. Even after I deleted the old license--the application still considers the license valid. Why is this? _________________ Robert J. Demaree

What version of ILS are you using?
Are you calling the StartBackgroundAuthenticationCheck method to perform checking of the license authentication status on a background thread?
By default ILS does not check the authentication status of the license when the license is read. This is because this could adversely affect the startup performance of your application. Instead your application should call the StartBackgroundAuthenticationCheck method to check the authentication status on a background thread. If this contacts the server and finds that the authentication is no longer active then it will (by default) display a message, uninstall the license and exit the application. _________________ Infralution Support |
