Hi,
We're currently reviewing your licensing solution to see if it would fit our needs and I have a question regarding the "authentication service".
We currently don't have an IIS server, and don't really want to host one ourselves. Would it be possible to use a hosting service (AppHarbor, or other) to host the authentication service?
Do you have any recommendation on doing so (security or other)?
Thanks. |

You certainly don't need to host it on your own servers. It is possible to get the Authentication Service to run on cloud based hosting services like Microsoft Azure - as several of our customers have done this. However cloud services tend to be more expensive and complex to set up then simply purchasing a simple (shared or dedicated) hosted website from any hosting provider that supports Windows ASP.NET hosting and setting up the service on it. The help gives fairly straightforward instructions on how to upload and configure the web service. _________________ Infralution Support |
