HI,

I evaluated ipn.server and everything worked, both having the ipn.net server running locally and remotely.

To start a new round of testing , I decided to create a new license tracker db and a new empty ipn.server db.

So I used "Configure License Tracker Database" (ils v. 5) to create a new license tracker db. I also did run http://localhost/1338/install.aspx to
create a new empty ipn db.

opening http://localhost:1338 in a browser shows that ipn.server is working.

When I use 'IPN.Configure server' in license tracker and specify http://localhost:1338 and fill out all the rest of the config info (not checking remore database of course) I get this error:

.. Error: System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: Server was unable to process request ---> System.InvlidOperationException: Invalid License Tracker Key ....

What is this 'License Tracker key' ???
Does it means that if I run "Create license tracker database" I need to (re) install a ILS license key. If yes, how ?

Really hope one can help.

Any feedbnack, clarifications etc. are highly apprciated.
Best regards
Hans-Juergen

Hi,

found the solution myself, doing a search for 'invalid license tracker key' in ALL forums (rather than just the ipn.net forum) and found a reference to the famous 'Reset Configuration Key' when runing the install.aspx script.

That solved the problems.

Ciao
