Hello Support
It seems that the new Setup of VT is buggy. We installed VT on four machines. After the VT-Setup Visual Studio works very strange.
Did you make any changes in the Setup routine?
Regards
Giuseppe
p.s. we have a Workarround if others have the Same problem:
After registring the File c:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003\Vc7\vcpackages\csproj.dll with Regsvr32.exe Visual Studio works fine again. |

Setup has not changed significantly now for several months. We don't do anything that would be likely to cause issues with the registration of csproj.dll. What sort of behaviour are you getting?
I have struck some occassional strange behaviour from Visual Studio that causes the C# wizards to stop working - but this has not been related to running Virtual Tree setup (which we obviously do very regularly). _________________ Infralution Support |

Yes we have same problems c# wizards that stop working, corrupted project settings, old projects that could not be opened, etc... and just on computers that installed VT 2.3...
ok. we will keep an eye on it...

If it helps I have seen that behaviour since almost day one with 2003. If you look on google you'll see that we are not alone. Unfortunately not all of these people have VirtualTree The wizard problems seem to be related to Visual Studio Add Ins (which we don't use). See http://www.petedavis.net/dotnet_articles/wizardfix.html. Certainly our problems seem to be less now that we have stopped using a certain VS Addin for bug tracking. _________________ Infralution Support |
