I'm getting a the following exception on startup of my application:
CryptographicException: The system cannot find the path specified.

here is the stacktrace:

With version 4.1.2 i hadn't this exception but with version 4.2.1 or 4.5 I have the exception described above.

I made a downgrade to 3.15.2 because I can't find a download link to the version 4.1.2.

can anybody help me?

The exception you are getting is rather strange as it is thrown when calling a property accessor on one of the Microsoft cryptographic classes (the property was set in the constructor of the class). I haven't seen this exception before and I think it probably indicates something is wrong with either your .NET installation or the cryptographic libraries on your machine. However since you report that the error was not occuring in Version 4.1.2 we may be able to work around the issue for you.

What Version of .NET are you using?
What operating system?
Is it 32 or 64 bit?
Does the error occur if you run your application on another machine?
Do the compiled Virtual Tree sample applications run on your machine?

Here are the answers to your questions.

What Version of .NET are you using?
- .NET 4.0.30319
What operating system?
- Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard SP1
Is it 32 or 64 bit?
- 64-bit, but the application is explicitely as 32-bit
Does the error occur if you run your application on another machine?
- no, on other machines with Windows 7 32 and 64 it works just fine. It's just on this machine.
Do the compiled Virtual Tree sample applications run on your machine?
- I'll check this later

If you email support@infralution.com with details of your virtual tree license then I will organise to give you a patched version of Virtual Tree 4.5 to see if we can resolve the issue.

With version 4.6 this error is fixed.
