Hi again.

Yet another issue I noticed.
Usually I do a scan first. Globalizer set the status of the etnries to added, changed etc.
Then I check all entries for some stuff I won't translate (locking it) and check invariant entries for typos.
When I find something I go to the resx file and fix it there.
Next is I do a scan.
This time my old status values are overwritten by new ones.

Is it possible to change this so it combines them when I check some option?
I know I could recreate the invariant file however I am unsure what happens to them (I import strings only so what happens so the other stuff) and won't risk damages here.

What do you think?

Kind regards
Sven

The row scan status is only intended to provide the status of what happened during the last scan. The individual translation status (next to each culture column) is what you should use for monitoring the status of translations and determining which are incomplete. The row scan status is not visible to translators.

Yes. I use it currently to do my "translate duplicates" and to lock entries that should not be translated.
I like to use this scan status as I don't have to manage already known untranslated stuff and also because if I filter for "needs translation" the line disappears when I enter something which is annoying when you work with multiple languages in one file. I also get some times an exception. I guess the program try's to do something with the old row but it is not existing anymore.

But I can adjust how I work. First check everything and note it and fix stuff later.

A good solution for this issue is to uncheck the Set Translation Status on Edit option (in the Options dialog). This means the status won't change automatically when you edit a translation. You can complete all your edits and then select the translations and use the Translation->Set Translation Status to set the status manually.

Ok I will try that. Smile

Thanks.

edit: working for a while now with "set status on edit" on/off and doing scan -> filter new or changed -> fix stuff -> scan again

it's really good to work know Smile
thanks for the tip
