Can I use a payment system different from paypal? Is It more difficult to implement?

IPN.NET currently only supports PayPal. You can build your own system for handling payments via other payment systems using the Infralution Licensing System API. This could be quite a lot of work because (depending on what e-commerce software you are using) you may need to build the mechanism for verifying purchase payments, emailing customers with license keys and recording sales and license key data in the database.
