It would be nice that when you are hosting all of your services that you could set it up to put new sales directly in to the ILS database if its on sql server, the same would probably go for authurizations and such.

The Authentication Server can be configured to use the License Tracker database if if is hosted on the same machine. We are considering adding that capability for IPN.NET in the next major release.

Where is the info on setting that up?

This is described in the help section "Deploying and Configuring the Authentication Server" under the heading "Configuring the Authentication Server". Basically you install the License Tracker database first using the License Tracker Install Wizard then your run the Install.aspx page for the authentication server and point it at the License Tracker database.

I am very much looking forward to this feature. It's really a pain to have to manually import sales from the IPN.NET, despite the fact that I have them both (IPN and ILM) hosted on the same server.

So +1 for incorporating this integrated sales mechanism as soon as possible.

Version 3 of IPN.NET and Version 5 of ILS have now been released. These include the ability for the IPN.NET service to connect directly to the License Tracker database. If you are running IPN.NET remotely then it can use a standalone database and sales can be imported over the web using the License Tracker IPN.NET Import Data menu. Another large improvement is the fact that you can configure products for IPN.NET directly from License Tracker. You no longer have to configure and upload an XML file and restart the service to make changes to your product configuration.
