|
|
After extensively commenting a workspace and running a build using Source Localization, I was expecting to see that the underlying resource files would contain these updated comments.
Instead, it caught me by surprise, when all my comments were overwritten in the workspace file during a subsequent scan.
Is this intended behavior and is there any workaround?
Thanks,
Tim |

The comments in Globalizer are not (by design) written to the resx files when the project is built. Globalizer does import comments from resx files when scanning - but empty comments should not override existing comments in Globalizer. I will check whether this is occurring.
You need to decide however whether you are going to do your commenting in Globalizer - or in Visual Studio in the resx files. _________________ Infralution Support

Thanks for your reply.
Assuming you're right about empty comments in resource files not overwriting comments maintained in a Globalizer workspace, this will solve my problem. I'll simply clean out all comments from all my resource files and maintain everything in Globalizer. |

I've checked - empty comments in resx file do not override comments entered in Globalizer.NET _________________ Infralution Support |
