The evaluation message uses a standard MessageBox to display the text - so this does seem to indicate something pretty seriously wrong with the the display settings.
It might be worth trying icons of different color depths (ie 16, 256, 16 bit) as sometimes these behave differently on different display systems. To ensure that the tree uses the icon you want you'd need to ensure that the icon only contains one image. _________________ Infralution Support |

Does the messagebox have text for the OK button?
Which icons are black for the tree - your user defined row icons or the expand/collapse icons?
I suspect this problem may have something to do with the resources not loading properly for the DLL for some reason. If you could provide the following information about the problem system it may help track down the problem:
a. Version(s) of .NET framework installed
b. Does it have VisualStudio installed?
c. What language settings does it have?
If you could copy the FileBrowser sample to the target system and see whether this has the same problem. By default the compiled FileBrowser sample is at:
C:\Program Files\Infralution\VirtualTree\Samples\CS\FileBrowser\bin\Released
You need to place the following DLLs in the same directory:
Infralution.Common.dll
Infralution.Controls.dll
Infralution.Controls.VirtualTree.dll _________________ Infralution Support |

The evaluation message box does get the strings to display from the DLL resources - hence if the OK button text was visible this would point to a resources problem. However the OK button text is not visible so this points to something more related to the framework/drivers.
I have seen windows forms exhibit different behaviour when called from a DLL to what it does directly in an EXE - I suspect this might be what is occuring here - hence your program displays messageboxes OK.
You could try using the Infralution.Common.Translator class to show a message box (as this is what the evaluation message box is displayed with) and see what the result is. _________________ Infralution Support |
