The new Web Authentication is a big welcome but there should be an option to authenticate manually. If it fails to authenticate online maybe due to the customer not having internet or maybe theres a temporary problem or something then the customer should be able to email or phone a challenge code to you and you should be able to activate it for them and return an activate code (or protected file in which they can not view the data therefore protecting the authentication process not to be hacked)
Regards,

If online activation fails it does indeed give the user the option to perform the activation manually. If they click "Yes" they then save the license information to a file - which they email to you. When you receive the email you can authenticate the license using the "Authenticate License File" menu option and email it back to them. They can then install this license file using the "Load License" button.
Because the authenticated license is signed using public key encryption to guarentee its validity the license file is quite large and certainly not something you could read out over the phone. This means the user must at least have access to email (or I guess they could snail mail a disk with the license file on it to you). _________________ Infralution Support |
