Hey,

We will soon need to migrate our WPF Desktop Application to .Net core, which according to the .Net Portability Analyzer the client side assembly does not support the Core API's.

Are you planning on updating the Infralution.Licensing.WPF assembly to use the .Net Core API's?

Best regards,
Bill

I don't have a time frame for this yet - but it is something that we are looking into. We have really been waiting to see whether their would be user demand for this

Hey,

It would be great if you can consider it!

We absolutely love your licensing integration and would also love to continue with your product and also willing to support an upgrade cost for migrating to .Net Core when the time comes.

As you are aware, we are being forced by Microsoft to engage in a migration from WPF .Net Framework to Core within the next 12-18 months or risk being left behind way too far by Microsoft for a very large product that has a customer base that must be maintained for the next 10 years.

Best regards,

Bill

Hey,

Last time we spoke was over a year ago.

Are you considering developing a .NET Core version?

Sorry I don't have a definitive answer on this yet. This is something I've been looking at over the last week and should be able to give an update about the direction we decide in the next week or two.

We use the Infralution Licensing product and were also looking for .NET Core support. We just received an email stating that the product is being retired. So does this mean no .NET Core support?

No I'm sorry. After 16 years I have made the difficult decision to close the business. Full source code for ILS can be purchased for those customers who wish to continue using and doing their own development. Several customers have expressed an interest in developing a .NET core version. If I'm able to facilitate this in some way then I'm happy to do so.
