We run our ILS server on Azure and have just been informed that all Azure App Service apps will be updated to use .NET Framework 4.8 soon. Do you know if ILS has any issues with that version of .NET Framework?

We were getting the following error
Quote:
"The license check failed with the following error:
System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: Server was unable to process request. ---> System.TypeLoadException: Inheritance security rules violated while overriding member: 'Infralution.Licensing.ASP.AuthenticatedLicense.System.Runtime.Serialization.ISerializable.GetObjectData(System.Runtime.Serialization.SerializationInfo, System.Runtime.Serialization.StreamingContext)'. Security accessibility of the overriding method must match the security accessibility of the method being overriden
"

We were able to get around it by setting the SecurityRuleSet.Level1 for the project but wanted to know if there is a way to have Level 2 security when using .NET 4.8?
We are using Visual Studios 2017 C#

What are you doing when you get this error? Is it coming from the Authentication Server - or are you running your application or License Tracker?

Are you using the distributed DLLs or have compiled the source code supplied when you purchased into your own project?
