|
|
Hi:
I did an export of .xlf file from Globalizer a while ago. Now, I need to get the delta between now and the time that I exported the initial .xlf file since there has been development going on at the same time. Is there an automatic way to make that happen?
Thank you very much for your help.
Best,

This is why it is better to have your translators use Globalizer (translator edition) if possible - because this provides much better management of situations like this (where development continues after sending translations to the translator) then is possible with xlf files. Globalizer files track the version of each individual translation allowing Globalizer to determine whether a particular translation has been changed since the translation was done.
If you have a copy of the workspace at the time you exported the xlf then you could use the Compare function to see what has changed. However there is currently no way to only export the changed items. You could however copy and past the changed items to an excel or word document. _________________ Infralution Support |

Hi:
I thought there might not be a way of exporting the comparison result and your reply confirmed that.
Just out of curiosity, is exporting comparison result or exporting based on the status of translation something that may be implemented in the near future?
Thank you.

You can export translations based on status by selecting the "Export only items that are untranslated or new review" option in the export wizard. In your case however I do think this would help as I'm assuming that all the items in your workspace may be untranslated (ie you haven't got translations back from the translator yet).
We could probably look at adding an option to export only the filtered translation items. That would allow you to use the Filter translations menu to filter the translations displayed and then only export these. _________________ Infralution Support |
