Hi,
I have couple of questions
1/ Which kind of hosting does your software run on : php or asp.net hosting. I need to find the right hosting company
2/ Is there a Maintenance plan for licensing, that is when Maintenance plan expired user can still use my software but will not able to perform any updates/upgrade
Thanks. |

1. You need ASP.NET hosting (2.0 or later)
2. You can implement this type of scheme by including the maintenance expiry date in the Authentication Data for the license. In your code you include a release date constant which you update each time you release (or you could read the executable file creation date). When you read the license you check that the release date is not later than the maintenance expiry date.
It is also possible to use the built-in expiry date for this purpose (instead of adding the maintenance expiry date to authentication data) - by unchecking the "Disable expired licenses" option for the product. The disadvantage of doing this is that you won't be able to issue normal time limited licenses. _________________ Infralution Support |
