Some times when validating HTML you may not be concerned if some markup tags are not present in the localized text. The standard "Match HTML Tags" validation rule matches all HTML tags using the following Regx Pattern:

<.*?>

You can change this to ignore certain tags by modifying the RegEx pattern. For instance to ignore <b></b> and <i> </i> tags change the RegEx pattern to:

(?!(</?b>|</?i>))<.*?>
